Situation: Focused on providing no-cost programming to help local authors bring their projects to life, PHX Oasis Press needed an easy to maintain marketing motion and revenue strategy.
Goal: Launch a clean, trusted brand experience with optional ways to generate revenue.
Brand strategy: Interviews with local stakeholders, industry research into the Arizona literary / publishing landscape, and analysis of budget-conscious channels. Developed brand values, positioning, vision, mission, and focus.
Marketing strategy: Focused on highlighting all writing groups in the area, to break down silos and build an ecosystem. Created a website hub that offers free, ungated resources to anyone who visits. Integrated robust event calendar plugin to expand value of the calendar. Utilized organic social, local in-person events and Meetup, partnerships with existing area groups to expand awareness and reach.
Revenue strategy: Sales of local anthology are used to fund overhead costs. Plans to launch an online store of items that encourage authors to ‘keep writing’ should launch in 2026.
Content creation: Developed all website content, ongoing event/program promotion campaigns, social media, anthology project.
